"Does my web site look good under all conditions?"
Gomez Reality View XF™ cross browser compatibility testing allows you to see how your website looks in all the major browsers and operating systems, on demand, with the single click of a button.

Capture Service
Reality View XF's easy-to-use interface enables quick comparisons across various combinations of browsers and operating systems to make certain the original website design has been successfully recreated. You can:
- Mix and match browser types (e.g., Internet Explorer™ 6, Internet Explorer 7, Firefox™, Safari™, Opera™) and Operating Systems (e.g. Windows XP™, Windows Vista™, Mac OS X™ and Fedora Linux™)
- See screen captures at different resolutions, from 640x480 to 1024x768
- Capture technical object detail about the order in which objects download during the page rendering and their associated performance
- Schedule captures to run automatically according when your sites are scheduled to change
- Perform Content and Link Validation to ensure that your site works as it should
Reality View XF delivers you actual screen shots of your pages as they are rendered in different browsers, helping you spot problems that arise because of differences in the way each browser handles htmL, JavaScript, and CSS. It's not uncommon for effects that render nicely in one browser to be broken in others, or even be unusable.
Remote Access
The Reality View Remote Access Service lets you log into any of our machines remotely to functionally test your web application. We have a growing library of operating systems and configurations. Simply select the operating system you want and click connect. You will gain access to a dedicated machine from our server farm for your immediate use. We have Macintoshes, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Linux machines, all in a variety of configurations.
For example, if you’re developing on a Windows XP machine and you need access to a Macintosh machine to test something, then you could use Remote Access to remotely login to one of our Macs from your Windows computer. Using our Mac you can then surf to your website and test your designs as if you were sitting in front of a Macintosh. In another example, if you’re a Macintosh user, and need a Windows Vista machine running a beta version of Explorer 8.0, to see how your new application works with this new browser. In short, Remote Access gives you all the operating systems and browsers you don’t have sitting at your desk. No more borrowing a friend’s computer, or renting time at the local copy shop or Internet cafe. The Remote Access Service is great for testing mouseovers, Javascript, Flash, forms, scripts, security, dynamic layouts, cascading style sheets and other platform dependent functionality.
How RealityView XF works
Reality View XF is powered by the Gomez ExperienceFirst platform and consists of a network of machines that run all of the versions of operating systems and browsers available within the product. To use Reality View XF Capture Service, you simply select the browser, operating system, and screen size combinations you want to test, and Reality View XF sends the URLs to the appropriate machines to conduct the test. Results are returned in real-time and include screen shots for each configuration tested, object download order details, and object level response time data.
To use Reality View XF Remote Access Service, you simply select the platform, operating system and primary browser combinations you want to test, and Reality View XF will dynamically launch the machine for you and all you have to do is to connect to the machine via our own built in Java based VNC viewer or your very own favorite 3rd party VNC client.
